Where is Seymour

Seymour, Indiana will be an exciting place to be on April 8, 2024, as our city will be within the path of totality for the Solar Eclipse! Totality will occur here around 3 p.m. Parking at the Seymour Municipal Airport will begin at 9 a.m. and is free. No camping is allowed at the airport.

Seymour is conveniently situated within driving distance of major cities like Indianapolis, Louisville, and Cincinnati – and is far away from light pollution, which makes it an ideal place to take in this rare opportunity.

Seymour is conveniently located off Interstate 65, and is about an hour north of Louisville, and an hour south of Indianapolis. Just look for Exit 50 and you will find us!

Seymour also is accessible from U.S. 31 as well as U.S. 50, about an hour-and-a-half west of Cincinnati. Seymour is located in Jackson County, which also includes Brownstown, Crothersville, and Medora.  Our community is easily accessed to view the 2024 Solar Eclipse, and we invite you to join us for this special event!

Tune into WJAA 96.3FM or WXKU 92.7FM for current updates now and throughout the Eclipse.
